FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

What are Cobble Setts?

Cobbles are versatile and charming additions to any outdoor space. You can use them to create cobble driveways, pathways, and garden borders. The natural appearance of cobble setts and their durability make them ideal for both residential and commercial projects.

Cobble setts are available in a variety of materials each having their own unique benefits, for example we supply cobble setts in Concrete, Granite, Limestone, Porcelain and Sandstone.

What is the life expectancy of Cobble Setts?

The life expectancy will be determined by the material used and the installation process. If both are of high quality, cobble setts can be expected to last on average between 15-25 years.

However, poor-quality materials or improper installation can significantly reduce the lifespan of cobble setts, leading to early wear and tear.

Applying a material specific sealing product can help increase the lifespan of cobble setts, adding a level of protection against erosion, weed growth and natural weathering, increasing its overall durability for years to come.

Do Cobble Setts add value to your house?

The short answer is YES. Its a known fact that buyers value a well maintained and properly installed driveway area.

In most cases, a house with a cobbled block paved driveway will be valued higher than those without or with a less attractive and older paved area – buyers and sellers may see a block paved driveway as an investment in the property.

What is the average price for block paving?

The price of Cobble Setts can vary depending on the material used to create the cobbles; the common material being concrete and porcelain due these materials having good durability and practical aspects especially for high vehicle traffic areas.

Our range of concrete cobble setts (granite effect) starts from ยฃ57.14 Per M2

Our range of granite cobble setts starts from ยฃ49.99 Per M2

Our range of sandstone cobble setts starts from ยฃ39.99 Per M2

Our range of limestone cobble setts starts from ยฃ49.99 Per M2

These prices are a guidance and subject to change.

What do you put under Cobblestones during installation?

A sand bed is mainly used for laying cobblestones in areas with heavy traffic, including car traffic. For areas with lighter traffic, a concrete base is usually used instead.

However, to prevent the screed from shifting or cracking, it’s important to add a sand and gravel layer after the initial excavation.
